HanBuddy Buddy Operating Terms

Version 2026-09-07

These Terms apply alongside the Terms of Service to Buddies listing and providing activities on HanBuddy.

Article 1. Eligibility and Approval

  1. Buddies must be at least 19 and accurately submit identity, profile, contact, settlement and activity-review information requested by the Company.
  2. Approval does not guarantee an activity’s quality or earnings. The Company may request improvements or reject approval after reviewing safety, legality, activity content and operating history.
  3. Buddies must verify and maintain any required qualifications, registrations, permits, insurance or facility approvals and provide evidence on request.
  4. Buddies are not Company employees and independently plan and provide activities. This does not exclude labor, tax or consumer protection laws applicable to the actual relationship.

Article 2. Listings

  1. Buddies accurately list titles, descriptions, photos, schedules, locations, duration, language, inclusions and exclusions, requirements, capacity, prices and safety precautions.
  2. Displayed prices must reflect all agreed inclusions among essential tickets, seats, food, drinks, equipment and other costs. Separate costs and estimated ranges must be clearly shown before payment.
  3. Buddies may not use others’ works, photos, trademarks or personal information without permission.
  4. The Company may request correction or removal of plainly inaccurate or unlawful information, highly unsafe activities or activities inconsistent with the Service’s purpose.

Article 3. Fulfilling Bookings

  1. Confirmed activities must be faithfully provided at the advertised time and location, in the advertised language and with the advertised content.
  2. Before the start, Buddies check participant counts and preparations and arrange included tickets, seats, food orders, equipment and other items.
  3. Accompanying Tourists home is not required unless expressly included. Buddies nevertheless provide the ending location and basic safe onward-travel guidance.
  4. Buddies may not demand off-platform payment, additional gratuities or mandatory costs absent from the activity details.

Article 4. Changes and Cancellation

  1. Material changes to the date, start time, location, key itinerary, language or inclusions require the Tourist’s consent through the Service and are not confirmed before consent.
  2. Unavoidable cancellations must be submitted as soon as possible through the Service with reasons to the Company and Tourist. Buddies must not ask Tourists to cancel instead.
  3. Buddy cancellations at least 7 days before the activity may incur no cancellation fee, but frequency and harm may lead to warnings or reduced listing visibility.
  4. Cancellations less than 7 days before the activity may incur 20% of the booking’s actual payment amount. The Company may waive fees or sanctions for objectively proven serious illness, accidents, government restrictions or other events difficult to foresee or avoid.
  5. Cancelled bookings are fully refunded to Tourists and generate no Buddy compensation.

Article 5. Lateness and No-Shows

  1. Buddies arrive before the agreed time and promptly report expected delays through messages or registered contact methods.
  2. Lateness of at least 15 minutes without prior agreement may result in a 20% refund of the actual payment amount, reflected in settlement.
  3. If lateness of at least 30 minutes causes the Tourist to end the activity, a full refund is provided and the Buddy may receive a warning.
  4. A confirmed no-show where the Buddy cannot be contacted results in a full refund and may cause immediate suspension or termination of Buddy status. An additional cancellation fee of 20% of the actual payment amount may be deducted or billed separately.
  5. The Company may request messages, attempted calls, location or traffic evidence to verify lateness, no-shows and unavoidable circumstances.

Article 6. Safety and Emergencies

  1. Before activities, Buddies check and explain hazards, weather, travel routes, facility conditions and participant precautions.
  2. Buddies must not provide medical, driving, high-risk leisure or legally regulated services beyond their expertise and qualifications.
  3. For accidents, missing persons, violence, sexual harassment or medical emergencies, stop the activity, first contact local emergency services such as 112 or 119, then report to the Company.
  4. The Company is not a real-time rescue service and cannot replace on-site safety measures, but must not delay reports, record preservation, account protection, authority cooperation or follow-up support.
  5. Buddies submit the circumstances and response within 24 hours of an accident or serious safety incident. Delays due to emergency response are taken into account.

Article 7. Tourist Care and Non-Discrimination

  1. Buddies must not unfairly discriminate or insult based on nationality, race, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, religion, age or other personal characteristics.
  2. Sexual harassment, bullying, threats, stalking, coercion, unwanted physical contact or recording, and demands for private meetings are prohibited.
  3. Included assistance such as interpretation or food ordering must be faithfully provided within the agreed scope. Medical or legal interpretation requiring professional qualifications may be declined with referral to appropriate institutions.
  4. Detailed rules and reporting procedures follow the Community and Safety Policy.

Article 8. Personal Information and Contact Details

  1. Tourist nicknames, profile images, participant counts, requests and contact details received for confirmed bookings may be used only for activity preparation, communication, safety and dispute handling.
  2. They may not be used for advertising, private contact, recruitment for other services, contact lists or disclosure to third parties.
  3. Separately stored personal information must be deleted promptly once the booking is over and dispute handling no longer requires it.
  4. Buddies immediately report leaks or misdirected information and cooperate to prevent further spread.

Article 9. Reviews and Dispute Cooperation

  1. Buddies must not offer benefits or imply disadvantages in exchange for writing, deleting or changing reviews.
  2. Buddies must provide reasonably requested messages, receipts, booking confirmations, tickets and operating records for cancellation, refund, safety or quality disputes.
  3. Buddies may appeal a proposed resolution with supporting materials within 14 days of notice.

Article 10. Fees, Settlement and Taxes

  1. Compensation, platform fees, refunds and cancellation fees follow the Buddy Commission and Settlement Policy.
  2. The standard platform fee excluding VAT is 20% of actual sales and VAT on that fee is 2% of actual sales, totaling 22%. Early Buddies have a 10% fee plus 1% VAT, totaling 11%.
  3. Buddies are responsible for reporting activity income and paying taxes. The Company may carry out legally required withholding or reporting.

Article 11. Restrictions and Termination

Depending on seriousness, repetition, harm and urgency, the Company may warn, hide listings, restrict new bookings, hold settlements, suspend or terminate Buddy status. Urgent restrictions without prior warning may apply to:

  • No-shows, violence, sexual harassment, fraud or serious privacy violations.
  • Unlicensed activities or other legal violations requiring immediate cessation.
  • Imminent risks to members’ life, body or property.

Where possible, the Company explains reasons and appeal procedures and reviews measures against submitted evidence once urgency subsides.
